Letter to Ofgem responding to its consultation on the evaluation process for the Electricity System Operator’s incentive scheme in 2019/20
The Electricity System Operator (‘ESO’) manages the flow of electricity on to and off the national transmission system, in order to keep the lights on. Because of the importance of this role, it is regulated by Ofgem. In February 2019, Ofgem consulted on two changes to how it evaluates the ESO’s performance. In our short response, we expressed support for both proposals.
