Letter to CMA responding to its invitation to comment on its decision to launch a review of the prepayment meter price cap
The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has launched a review of the prepayment meter energy price cap. It invited views on this decision. We support this review, but expressed views on a range of issues it will need to consider before a decision to revise the cap is made, with the need to understand the distributional impact of any changes paramount among these.
