"One of Nationwide's top priorities is to help people better manage their money.
"In addition to the support our branches offer our own customers and the free tools we provide online, we applaud the role Citizens Advice plays in providing free, independent and impartial education and advice to those most in need. It's great to be able to celebrate the MoneyActive volunteers, who have made a real difference in their communities by boosting the financial capability of over 170,000 people over the last three years. We are very proud to partner Citizens Advice in their groundbreaking work to prevent debt and the harm it causes individuals and society"
Gillian Guy, Citizens Advice, Chief Executive, said:
"Volunteering is not new to us at Citizens Advice but thanks to the partnership with Nationwide Building Society we have been able to embark on this innovative programme to train volunteers in new roles delivering financial capability sessions in their communities.
