Citizens Advice urges consumers not to wait to tackle their fuel bills

Responding to the announcement of Ofgem's market review, Gillian Guy, Chief Executive of Citizens Advice said:

"I welcome this long-overdue announcement from Ofgem to make energy bills more simple and fairer. But consumers mustn't wait - they are losing money on their energy bills every day.

"It was ill advised of the Prime Minister to promise action on energy bills without fleshing out exactly how and when this will happen. Thousands of households could lose out this winter if they don't check now that they're on the best deal.

"That's why Citizens Advice are hosting Big Energy Saving Week, starting on Monday, where we'll be supporting consumers up and down Britain to make that change now."
