Scams Awareness Campaign

Every year, we run our Scams Awareness campaign, which aims to create a network of confident, alert consumers who know what to do when they spot a scam.

Our first week of activity in 2024 ran between 21 - 27 October and focused on supporting consumers around financial and investment scams.

If you're looking for advice and support on scams, visit our scams advice pages.

How can I support the campaign all year long?

Your efforts during the Scams Awareness campaign are important, whether you’re an individual looking to protect yourself and your family from scams, or an organisation or group representing consumers. But it’s important to be #ScamAware all year round.

Help us spread the message that scams are crimes that can happen to anyone and that we can all take a stand to help stop them. There are actions we can all take to report them, share stories and raise awareness of scams to safeguard ourselves and others.

Resources

Visit our resources page to download a range of materials and tools to help you get involved. These resources can be used all year long if they’re relevant to your audience. These include posters, leaflets and a social media pack.
