Consumer Expectations of Regulation: Heat Networks
Consumer Expectations of Regulation: Heat Networks 1.44 MB
Heat Networks are systems where heat is delivered directly to the home rather than being converted at the property. Unlike the gas and electricity market, Heat Networks are currently unregulated.
There are concerns about protections for consumers in an unregulated market, including ability to switch, and the effects of being with a monopoly supplier.
This project looked at the experience of consumers on heat networks, the complaints process and the perceptions of consumer protection and introducing regulation.
