Citizens Advice response to the Ofgem Open letter: Notification to interested stakeholders of our interconnector policy review
The primary objective of the interconnector policy review is to establish whether there is a need for further GB interconnection capacity beyond those projects currently with regulatory approval. If so, the secondary objective of this review is to consider Ofgem’s approach to the regulation of future GB interconnection.
We note that the purpose of this open letter is to invite participation in the 4 proposed workstreams for the interconnector policy review, namely: Review of the cap and floor regime to date; Socio-economic modelling; Review of the wider impacts of interconnection; and, Multiple Purpose Interconnectors.
At this point, we cannot commit to participation in the workstreams, however, we would be willing to contribute to this review through other means such as bilateral meetings or written consultations.
