Energy firms should simplify tariffs now
Citizens Advice is urging energy companies to simplify their tariffs as a matter of urgency as Ofgem says suppliers can start to implement market reforms now.
Citizens Advice Chief Executive Gillian Guy said:
“Households have been paying over the odds to heat their homes and keep the lights on as a myriad of tariffs made it difficult to find the best deal. Now that Ofgem has given the green light, energy companies should be introducing clearer and more simply tariffs as a matter of urgency so that customers can shop around to find a cheaper deal before winter bites.”
