To whom it may concern,
Re: Debt repayment agreement with British Power
I am writing due to concerns about my weekly repayment rate.
I understand that I owe £236 to you.
The current weekly repayment rate of £10 is difficult for me to meet, and I would like to negotiate a more affordable rate.
Ofgem the energy regulator requires energy suppliers to consider customer circumstances and ability to pay when agreeing to a debt repayment plan. Please consider my situation:
I have a 2-year-old disabled son, and I am a single parent who has recently separated from my partner.
I would prefer if I could repay this debt at a weekly rate of £5.
Please respond to this letter confirming my new repayment rate, including any other information you feel would be relevant or helpful to me, such as trust fund or energy efficiency information.
Please reply in writing within 10 working days.
Thank you.
Yours faithfully,
Sam Hoolin
