About the role
This post is about enabling others to give effective early support. It combines advice knowledge with training skills and the ability to build a peer network of confident Advice First Aiders in community settings across the city.
The role is central to our work tackling poverty and health inequality by empowering people and places to act earlier. You will deliver high-quality training and briefings to upskill volunteers and workers—particularly in foodbank and outreach environments—so they can confidently spot issues, offer initial guidance, and signpost to specialist help. The work is strongly connected to our Beyond Foodbanks partnership.
The role is currently funded until March 2026. However, we have bids in place to expand Advice First Aid citywide, and the successful candidate may have the opportunity to shape and lead a future programme team if funding is secured.
We’re Disability Confident
