Hours: 37 hours per week, per role

Salary scale: £24,012 to £25,723 per annum

Contract: fixed term to December 2025, with possibility of extension subject to funding

Base: Buxton, Chesterfield, Ilkeston or Matlock - remote/home working will be considered

We have an opportunity for two Help to Claim Advisers to join our existing advice services team who deliver advice to the public on issues relating to Universal Credit and linked benefits and issues. The roles will form part of the national Help to Claim service which provides support to people with queries relating to Universal Credit up to first payment via telephone and webchat between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday. Working pattern can be discussed at interview.

Applicants need to be computer literate and must be confident in working to performance targets. Good communications skills, both written and verbal are essential in the role, as is excellent customer service skills with a non-judgemental approach. A background in advice giving and welfare benefits is desirable but not essential. Full training, support and coaching will be provided.
