About the role

Citizens Advice LeicesterShire, in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, is looking for an administrator to join our team. You’ll be the first point of contact for our clients, providing a welcoming and supportive experience from the moment they reach out to us.

This role requires a unique blend of empathy, efficiency, and organisational skills. You’ll be answering calls, managing appointments, and maintaining accurate records, all while ensuring our clients feel supported and informed.

What we need you to do:

  • Answer our Macmillan Helpline, responding to enquiries, scheduling client appointments, and referring clients to other services as needed.

  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, maintain accurate client data records on our case management system, and ensure all tasks are completed promptly.

  • Assist our team with administrative tasks, help prepare statistics and reports, take minutes at meetings, and produce documents.

  • Manage diaries, order supplies, and contribute to keeping our resources up-to-date

What you’ll bring:

  • You’re comfortable with IT and quick to learn new systems. Experience with Google Workspace and Adobe would be a plus.

  • You build relationships easily and communicate effectively, whether in person, over the phone, or through email.

  • You can juggle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.

  • You’re enthusiastic, proactive and always ready to lend a hand.
