About the role
The Myton Hospices believe everyone should live well towards the end of their life and have the right to a good, natural death, the way they want it to be, where they want it to be and with their loved ones supported.
The Myton Hospices Finance and Benefits Advice Service, delivered by Coventry Citizens Advice (CCA), provides holistic support to patients and their families who are receiving care and support in the Inpatient Units at the hospices. The postholder will work as an integral member of the Multidisciplinary team; they will receive referrals from the medical and nursing teams.
The support involves providing initial support on benefits, income maximisation, financial capability, budgeting, end-of-life planning, housing, and employment issues.
They will undertake follow-up casework and advocacy on behalf of individuals and signpost them to wider support services.
Our ideal candidate will have significant experience delivering advice, including at casework level to vulnerable clients facing financial hardship.
The position provides a generous holiday entitlement, a time off in lieu scheme, flexible working hours including hybrid working, a contributory pension scheme, an Employee Assistance programme, Discounts with certain Retailers, and a cycle to work scheme.
If you have existing commitments, we will consider adapting the working arrangements for this position to meet them.
