About the role
Location:
Based in Staffordshire South West and working across Stafford Borough, Cannock Chase and South Staffordshire districts.
Reporting to the Head of Services, the Training and Development Officer is a support role responsible for the induction, learning and development of new staff and volunteers and to deliver internal training as part of the organisation’s Learning and Development Team. To monitor the progress of staff and volunteers along their learning journey and to assess their competency in relation to Citizens Advice requirements and standards, and to work closely with service managers to help maintain quality of advice. If you have advice experience, are passionate about supporting individuals and families in need and interested in joining a dedicated, professional team we would love to hear from you.
Applicants need to be:
Computer-literate, although training on our case recording systems will be given.
Able to show good communications skills, both written and verbal. These are essential in the role, as are excellent customer service skills with a non-judgemental approach.
Be confident and adaptable with a commitment to working in a busy multi skilled team.
Experienced in providing remote advice from home.
Confident in working to performance targets.
Have the ability to plan and organise your work
