Are you passionate about empowering individuals to overcome financial challenges and reduce dependency on foodbanks? We're seeking an Income Maximisation and Debt Foodbank Advisor to work with foodbanks and community partners, providing expert support to those facing financial hardship.
Your Role:
-Expert Advice: Guide foodbank users on debt options, benefits, budgeting, and creditor negotiations.
-Income Maximisation: Help individuals access benefits, complete applications, and challenge decisions.
-Community Collaboration: Partner with foodbanks to deliver this financial inclusion project.
-Volunteer Support: Mentor local volunteers and strengthen community relationships.
-Policy Contribution: Gather evidence to influence local and national social policies.
What We’re Looking For:
-Strong communication skills to engage diverse individuals.
-Ability to manage a varied caseload and provide tailored advice.
-A passion for addressing financial barriers and supporting change.
-Knowledge of debt and welfare law is a plus, but we value willingness to learn.

This role is a collaboration between Citizens Advice West Sussex and Trussell Trust, committed to creating sustainable solutions to food poverty. A basic DBS is required.
