About the role

This post provides generalist support and advice including in welfare benefits, housing, debt and employment rights to people with incapacitating injuries incurred through incidents such as road accidents, injuries at work, and in their day-to-day personal lives. The advice extends to their families and carers.

Referrals are taken from the managing organization, Cardinal, and advice provided at the bedside and other facilities at University College Hospital Coventry outreach, with follow-up work as necessary. The position is based at our Foleshill offices with hybrid working possible.

You will need to demonstrate the ability to deliver and manage a caseload with an emphasis on welfare benefits, identifying the need to signpost and refer to specialists when necessary, support being provided. Quality standards will need to be met, as well as optimizing clients seen. The ability to time-manage, identify priorities and meet deadlines is important.
