You can get The Little Book of Big Scams as a PDF on the Metropolitan Police website - this book, from the Metropolitan Police, is a general guide to many of the scams currently operating in the UK.
You can get The Little Book of Big Scams - Business Edition as a PDF on the Metropolitan Police website - this version of the Metropolitan Police's The Little Book of Big Scams has been designed specifically to protect small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
The Friends Against Scams website - a National Trading Standards Scams Team initiative, aims to protect and prevent people from becoming victims of scams by empowering communities to "take a stand against scams". Visit their website to learn more about the initiative, including scam awareness training.
Businesses Against Scams on the Friends Against Scams website - set up by the National Trading Standards Scams Team, this site includes a number of resources that companies can share with their employees to educate them on a variety of common business related frauds.
30+ Ways to Stop Scams on the Money Saving Expert website - this guide explains what to look out for, how to protect yourself, and what to do if you're a victim of a scam.
The Take Five website - Take Five is a national awareness campaign led by FFA UK (part of UK Finance), with a range of partners, that urges people to stop and think if what you’re being told really makes sense. The National Cyber Security Centre Cyber Aware website - for advice on the simple ways the public and small businesses can help protect themselves against cyber crime.
Find out about the National Cyber Security Centre suspicious email reporting service on the National Cyber Security Centre website. The public can use this to report suspicious emails, which will then be analysed and action taken where needed, such as removing URLs linked to malicious sites.
The Consumer Friend website - aims to make consumer rights easy to understand for everyone.
Scams and older people
Think Jessica Leaflet (PDF) 592 KB and the Think Jessica website - Think Jessica work to protect elderly and vulnerable people from scams which come through the postal system and criminals who contact them by telephone.
The 'Scamwise: Spotting, avoiding and reporting scams' advice on the Independent Age website - a new advice guide from Independent Age, a charity for older people. Visit the scams section of the Independent Age website to download or order the guide and explore their other resources, including a short explanatory animation, quiz, and other advice. 'Spot the signs of financial abuse' information on the Kent County Council website. Kent County Council are highlighting the signs of doorstep crime and financial abuse to help prevent vulnerable people from becoming victims. They've created a video illustrating the issue for people to share and help raise awareness of the problem. You can watch the 'Spot the signs of financial abuse' video on the Public Protection Kent YouTube channel.
Investment and pension scams
ScamSmart is a communications campaign by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) designed to help prevent investment fraud. The ScamSmart information on the FCA website gives investors tips on how to spot the techniques used by fraudsters and hosts the FCA Warning List.
The FCA Warning List of unauthorised firms on the FCA website is an online tool that helps users find out more about the risks associated with an investment and check a list of firms the FCA knows are operating without its authorisation.

Delivery scams
Evri offers support if you think you’ve been affected by a delivery scam. Delivery impersonation scams will often be unusual in some way or be unexpected (for example referring to a parcel delivery you weren’t expecting). You can find out how to stay safe from delivery scams on the dedicated cyber security page on the Evri website.
